Overview
Tyson is an athletic, refined, and incredibly handsome 10-year-old Percheron/Quarter Horse cross gelding. Standing at a solid 15.3h, he is an easy keeper with exceptional ground manners, zero vices, and a perfectly clean bill of health.
Under Saddle
Tyson moves with the elegance of an English hunter paired with the steady, desirable “slow lope” of a Quarter Horse. He was started correctly from day one, moves easily off the rider’s leg, knows his leads, and boasts a phenomenal “big stop” on the buckle. He remains 100% uncomplicated and straightforward whether you are riding with active contact or completely hands-free.
Rider Level
Though athletic and capable, he is exceptionally Safe, Sane, and Quiet. He is a genuine “non-spook” type of mount who does not require a 30-minute lunging session even if he has been sitting in the pasture.
Personality
A literal “happy” horse who thrives on human attention and loves people. He has an incredibly sweet disposition and is the easiest catch in the field—simply call his name and he will come running right to you.
Training
Tyson has been correctly trained from the ground up with a solid foundation in both English and Western style movements. He has recently been introduced to small jumps and exhibits a very willing, honest, and brave heart for a future career over fences.
Suitability
He is highly versatile and fits perfectly as a premium leisure mount, a family trail horse, or a safe local hunter/jumper prospect.
Health
He vets 100% clean with no lumps, bumps, or blemishes. Tyson is an easy keeper, up-to-date (UTD) on all vaccines, dental, and routine care, and has absolutely no known health issues.
Manners
Features exceptional ground manners. He stands quietly, is easy to handle for the vet and farrier, and displays no bad stable vices.
Trail Experience
Completely confident and reliable whether riding out alone or in a large group. He is “bombproof” in the truest sense of the word, remaining entirely unbothered by heavy vehicle traffic or loud noises, such as neighboring drum practice right next to the arena. He maintains exactly the speed his rider asks for, every single time.
Social Behavior
He gets along wonderfully with other horses in the pasture and is a peaceful, friendly member of the herd who is easy to manage.
